Am I sinful for the death of my bedridden mother, who died after I resentfully turned her over, which led to a fracture in her leg?

The mother holds a great status in Islam. Allah has coupled her right with His right, and He enjoined good treatment of her three times before the father, as in the Hadith: "Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father." Her right entails caring for her and not showing exasperation towards her, especially in old age. Ill-treating her is a grave matter, and regretting it is a sign of goodness. This regret must be a sincere repentance fulfilling all its conditions, along with abundant seeking of forgiveness, supplication for her, and showing kindness to her through charity, honoring her friends, and maintaining ties with her relatives after her death, which is a continuous act of righteousness.
