Is it permissible to complete the recitation of the Quran on behalf of the deceased and to recite some verses for them after Fajr prayer?

If the intention behind "ختم القرآن على الميت" (reciting the entire Qur’an for the deceased) is to dedicate the reward of reading the entire Qur’an to them, then this is permissible, and its reward reaches the deceased according to the sound opinion. It is permissible at any time without specific designation. However, if the intention is to gather and take turns reciting, then this is an innovation (bid‘ah) that has no basis.
