Is there any blame on a person if he says to himself, "I am closer to my heart," meaning that he is more susceptible to satanic whispers concerning matters of disbelief than others?

What goes on in the mind of one suffering from waswasah (obsessive whispering) without being uttered is of no consequence, according to the hadith in the Two Sahihs: "Indeed, Allah has overlooked for my Ummah what they inwardly thought about, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it." It is advisable to ignore waswasah and occupy one's time with beneficial activities, such as seeking knowledge, engaging in productive work, serving the community, or permissible recreation and sports, and associating with good people.
