Does a slight interruption to pick up a pebble affect the validity of the stoning of the Jamarat?

Successive throwing of pebbles at the Jamarat is not a condition but is recommended. If someone misses a pebble and remembers it before sunset, they should throw it, and they are not required to repeat the entire stoning of the Jamarat, because successive throwing of pebbles and Jamarat is a Sunnah and not a condition.
