Is it permissible to stone [the Jamarat] immediately after Fajr prayer and before zawal on the Days of Tashreeq if one is spending the night on the street next to the Jamarat due to the far distance of one's accommodation from Mina, and does this entail a compensatory sacrifice (dam)?

If a pilgrim throws the pebbles (rami al-jamarat) on the days of Tashreeq after Fajr, and this is based on the تقليد (following) of scholars who permit it, then his throwing is valid. However, if his throwing is merely for the sake of following concessions (tattabu' al-rukhas), then it is not valid, and he must offer a sacrifice (dam) for missing an obligation. The time for throwing on the days of Tashreeq begins after zawal (midday) according to the majority of scholars. Furthermore, staying overnight in Mina on the days of Tashreeq is obligatory. Whoever stays overnight outside the boundaries of Mina, despite being able to stay within it, must offer a sacrifice (dam) for missing this obligation.
