Is it permissible to masturbate along with expiation for an oath, after making a covenant with Allah not to do so in order to relieve distress, given the current inability to marry?

Masturbation is forbidden, and making a covenant with Allah Almighty to abandon it further emphasizes the matter. Breaking the covenant necessitates an expiation for an oath (kaffarat yamin) if the word "covenant" was used. As for a person invoking torment upon themselves, this is not the intended covenant and is forbidden, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not supplicate against yourselves..." The obligation is to repent to Allah and to take measures to reduce lust until marriage becomes feasible.
