The answer

If you committed the felony while you were not an adult, there is no sin upon you; based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The pen has been lifted from three: from the insane person until he regains his sanity, from the child until he reaches puberty, and from the sleeper until he awakens." If you were an adult and the felony occurred by mistake, there is also no sin upon you; based on the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred, but [only for] what your hearts intended." However, the rights resulting from the felony do not lapse. The victim has the right to compensation with half of the blood money, and it is necessary to refer to the court or the scholars in the country where the felony occurred to determine the type of blood money and who is obligated to pay it.
