The noble verse: ﴿And Allah has made for you from yourselves mates﴾ [An-Nahl: 72] is from Surah An-Nahl, and it illustrates Allah's blessings upon His servants by making our spouses from our own kind and form, to achieve intimacy, harmony, affection, and mercy. Had they been of another kind, this would not have been realized. The phrase "from yourselves" means "from your own kind," which is a recurring Quranic expression.
