What is meant by "Increase your testimony that there is no god but Allah before you are prevented from it"? And is what is meant increasing the saying of "Lā ilāha illallāh" (There is no god but Allah) or "Ashhadu an lā ilāha illallāh" (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah)? And is it permissible to limit oneself to it among absolute remembrance (dhikr)?

The meaning of the Hadith: "Increase in bearing witness that there is no god but Allah, before a barrier is placed between you and it, and instruct your dying ones with it," is to frequently utter "La ilaha illa Allah" while the heart conforms, before death, and to instruct the dying with it. What is meant by "bearing witness that there is no god but Allah" is believing in theation of the deservingness of worship for everything other than Allah, and affirming it for Allah alone.
