What is the secret of the number 7 and its multiples in the Qur'an and Hadith?

The Quran is miraculous in many ways, and its challenge remains for jinn and humans. Ibn al-Qayyim discussed the characteristic of the number "seven," explaining that it appeared in creation and in the divine law, such as the seven heavens and seven earths, and the seven circumambulations (tawaf) and seven shuttles (sa'y), among others. He mentioned that seven combines the meanings and properties of numbers, as the categories of numbers (even and odd, first and second) do not converge in less than seven. He concluded by refraining from delving into the reason for the specificity of this number unless there is clear and authentic evidence.
