If a person afflicted with gonorrhea experiences a discharge that ceases for a sufficient time to perform ablution and prayer, then he must wash away the impurity and perform ablution for each prayer. However, if the discharge is continuous, he is considered to be in the same category as one afflicted with سلس (incontinence). In this case, he must wash the affected area and tie it with a cloth at the beginning of the time for each prayer, then perform ablution and pray. What exits thereafter does not harm him. But if he is negligent in tying the cloth and impurity exits, his prayer becomes invalid. What cannot be avoided is excused to prevent hardship.
