Is it permissible to recite Ayat al-Kursi and Surat al-Ikhlas with the intention of praising Allah in the Witr prayer after bowing?

If the recitation in qunut is intended as a mere Quranic recitation, Shafi'i jurists have stipulated that it is disliked (makruh), though the prayer is not invalidated. However, if it is intended as praise of Allah, then there is no dislike, and the qunut is achieved by reciting a verse from the Quran that is a supplication or similar to a supplication.
