What is the ruling on money earned from a gaming lounge?
The ruling on money earned from arcade games varies based on the ruling of the games themselves. What is permissible among them, its earning is permissible, and what is forbidden, its earning is forbidden. Forbidden games include those that expose 'awrah (private parts), involve striking the face, playing music, mixing between sexes, gambling, missing prayers, or those that contain symbols of disbelief, encourage violence, statues, or dice.
If the money was earned from forbidden games, the earner must make sincere repentance, get rid of those games, and dispose of the money in charitable ways. What was spent in the past does not need to be accounted for. It is recommended to stick to permissible games and offer beneficial guidance and advice to visitors.
