What is the ruling on shunning a dissolute brother when interaction with him leads to committing sins, and is this shunning considered tantamount to killing him, as stated in the Hadith?

Abandonment for a legitimate Shari'ah reason carries no sin, and in it, the Shari'ah interest is observed. It is not limited by a specific time but rather by the existence of its cause. This man should continue to be advised with wisdom and good counsel by those whose words influence him. The hadith: "Whoever abandons his brother for a year, it is as if he has shed his blood" is interpreted as abandonment for no legitimate Shari'ah reason.
