Was the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sent to both humans and jinn, and how did his message reach the jinn?

The Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent to all of mankind, meaning to both humans and jinn, and this is one of his unique characteristics. The Qur’an has clarified how his message reached the jinn, through some of them listening to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he recited the Qur’an. It is also authentically reported in Sahih Muslim that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The caller of the jinn came to me, so I went with him and recited the Qur’an to them."
