What should we do with our stepmother if our father passed away having registered everything in her name and the names of her daughters, and does our mother have a share in the house that our father sold?

Consulting a sorcerer is forbidden by Islamic law. Magic should be treated with legitimate Islamic incantations (ruqyah (definition) shariyyah). A father must be just among his children, and it is not permissible for him to favor some over others. It is not permissible for him to intend to deprive some of his children or harm them. If the father's registration of his properties to his daughters and wife was a gift during his lifetime, it is not permissible due to the obligation of justice among children. As for his gift to his wife, if it was completed with its conditions, it is her property, but if he intended to deprive his children by it, he is sinful. If the registration means transferring ownership after his death, then this is a bequest to an heir, and it is invalid unless the heirs permit it. The house that the father sold was his property, and the mother has no right to it. It is obligatory to honor the father even if he misbehaves, and his right is not forfeited regardless of his bad character or injustice. He should be advised gently or by seeking help from someone who can advise him, and much supplication should be made for him.
