Is it permissible to call the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "The Pride of the Ummah"?

A distinction must be made between naming the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with a name that was not among his names, and describing him with an attribute that is valid for him to possess. There is no evidence that the name "Fakhr al-Kainat" (Pride of the Beings/Universe) is one of his names, peace and blessings be upon him. However, there is no objection to describing him as the pride and Imam of the Ummah, or the pride of humanity, its best, and its greatest.
