Is it permissible for a servant to ask their Lord for worldly or otherworldly matters by virtue of their good deeds, such as saying: "O Allah, just as I honored my mother and father, I ask You to bless me with children who will honor me," or "O Allah, as I spent in Your cause, I ask You to provide for me," or "O Allah, as I fasted the month of Ramadan, I ask You to admit me to the Paradise of Firdaws"? And is this considered a form of showing favor to Allah?

It is not a condition for the supplication to be answered that it be accompanied by intercession (tawassul). Allah Almighty answers those who supplicate to Him whenever He wills, as confirmed by His saying: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you," and "Is not He who responds to the distressed one when he calls upon Him?" Nevertheless, it is permissible for a Muslim to intercede with Allah through his righteous deeds, as narrated in the story of the Companions of the Cave. This is among the permissible forms of intercession according to the People of Sunnah and the Community (Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah), and it is not considered a form of boasting before Allah. Rather, it is an act of humility and dependence. Care must be taken with the wording of the supplication so that it is in the form of intercession and not boasting.
