A father must be obeyed regarding visits to his home, unless it is known or strongly presumed that harm will result from the visit. His past mistreatment or a mere possibility of harm is not a justification for disobedience. A person must obey his parents in matters that do not involve sin, even if they are disobedient (fasiqin), provided that it benefits them and causes no harm to the son. One must show kindness and devotion to his father, and it is not permissible to abandon him due to his injustice or mistreatment, as this constitutes disobedience, and a father's right is not abrogated by such actions.
