What is the ruling on working for an online advertising platform that relies on two types of advertising packages and provides advertisers with opportunities to earn through sharing website revenues or bringing in other members, taking into consideration the condition of visiting 10 websites daily to receive a share of the revenues?
It is permissible to advertise through the website if the activity of the advertised website is lawful. However, earning from a website that requires payment for subscribing to an incentives and prizes system is not permissible, due to the presence of (uncertainty) and qimar (gambling), as the matter revolves between gain and loss. The only legitimate method is for the member to receive a known fee in exchange for bringing customers, or for it to be a ju'ala (stipulated reward) with a known compensation for bringing a certain number of visitors or selling packages, provided that the website's activity and advertisements are lawful.
