Do you prefer Medina and feel more at ease there than in Mecca?

Scholars have agreed that Makkah and Madinah are the best places on Earth, but they differed as to which of them is superior. The majority held that Makkah is better, while the Malikis preferred Madinah. If the questioner prefers Madinah, then this is the well-known position in the Maliki madhhab of Imam Malik. However, if the preference is merely a natural affection, there is no harm in it, but one must be careful not to let this lead to disliking Makkah or belittling it.
