Is it permissible for a son to disobey his father who forbids him from marrying on the pretext of studying, and is it permissible to give a father's Zakat to his son so that he can marry?

A son may disobey his father if the latter prevents him from marrying, as this is a personal matter and there is no valid reason for the father to object. In fact, the father should marry off his son from his own wealth if the son needs to marry and has no money. Even if the son requests to marry a second, third, or fourth wife, the wealthy father must help his son maintain chastity by marrying him off. The father is not permitted to prevent his son from marrying on the pretext of not completing his studies, as marriage does not preclude studying, and a spouse can even be a support for their partner in their studies. It is not permissible to give a father's Zakat (definition) to his son for the purpose of marriage, because the father is obligated to marry him off from his own private wealth.
