What is the best option for preserving chastity and purity: patience until financial ability for marriage becomes available, or marriage and living separately until Allah enriches them from His bounty? Is financial status a condition for marriage, or should one insist with the father, despite his reliance on the verse, "And let those who find not [the means for] marriage abstain until Allah enriches them from His bounty" (Surat An-Nur, 33), and the Hadith, "O young people, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so"?

You must repent from past communications and be wary of anything that leads to temptation. Financial capability is important in marriage. Marriage is recommended for those who desire it and can afford its expenses, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O young people, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him marry." And for those who cannot afford the expenses of marriage, it is recommended for them to refrain and practice chastity, as Allah Almighty says: "And let those who find not [the means for] marriage abstain until Allah enriches them from His bounty." It has also been said that marriage is recommended for him due to the generality of the evidence. If it is easy for you to marry her, then that is good and excellent. Otherwise, leave her and be patient and practice chastity through fasting. The wife's rights, such as overnight stay and housing, are forfeited if she waives them.
