Is it permissible to marry the sister of a pregnant divorcee, one month after her divorce?

The answer depends on the type of divorce:

- If the divorce is revocable (which, in the case of a pregnant woman, is upon delivery of the entire pregnancy), it is not permissible to marry the sister of the divorced woman until her 'iddah (waiting period) has ended, based on the Almighty's saying: {And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they deliver their burden.}

- If the divorce is irrevocable, jurists have differed on the ruling regarding marrying the sister of the divorced woman. Some have prohibited it until the 'iddah expires, while others have permitted it immediately, and this is the relied-upon opinion in the Maliki school of thought.
