The answer

If a husband pronounces a triple divorce upon his wife, contingent on her welcoming her mother, and this event occurs, the divorce takes effect, and his wife becomes unlawful for him until she marries another man and he consummates the marriage with her, then divorces her, and her waiting period (iddah) from him ends. Only then is it permissible for her first husband to remarry her. This is the opinion of the majority of jurists. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, however, held that if a conditional divorce is intended as an incitement or a deterrent, it is an oath, and expiation is due for it.

A husband has the right to prevent his wife from leaving his house to visit her parents, unless he orders them to commit a sin, such as severing kinship ties. He does not have the right to prevent them from visiting her or prevent her from speaking with them, unless their visit leads to corruption, such as inciting her to disobedience.
