The fundamental principle is that individuals' consciences are free from obligations until a cause for their establishment becomes evident. Therefore, doubts and obsessions about the possibility of harming neighbors do not establish any right for them, and one is not required to seek their forgiveness unless the person is certain and knows that they have indeed harmed them unjustly. As for the fear of facing people, it is not considered polytheism (shirk).
