Is the salary earned from working in a usurious bank permissible or forbidden, especially with the current difficulty in finding work? And is it permissible for a brother who works for the government to receive his salary through a usurious bank?

It is not permissible to work in an interest-based bank, due to the generality of the Sharia evidence prohibiting usury and cursing its devourer, its feeder, its scribe, and its two witnesses. The worker eats from the salary and feeds his family, and thus becomes cursed. Therefore, one must resign immediately and repent to Allah. Likewise, it is not permissible to open an account in an interest-based bank, and the brother must be advised to transfer his salary to a non-interest-based bank.
