Are the jinn's statements about the sorcerer's name true?

One should not believe the jinn speaking through the person afflicted by magic if it mentions the name of the one who enchanted them, because lying is the way of devils. The intention behind it might be to stir up discord and enmity, as they seek to separate people, just as Allah Almighty said: "And they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife."

The default is innocence, so it is not permissible to accuse a Muslim or harbor ill thoughts about them without clear proof. Allah Almighty said: "O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin." And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the falsest of speech."
