Working for news and image websites has a ruling that varies according to their content. It is permissible to work for those that publish what is lawful, and forbidden to work for those that publish what is unlawful. An exception to this is when unlawful images are interspersed within lawful topics unintentionally; these may be excused due to widespread affliction.
Earning from uploading unlawful images and news is ill-gotten gain. A portion of it must be given to charitable causes and public welfare, and it is not permissible to benefit from it as long as basic needs can be met otherwise.
