What is the ruling on uttering the phrase, "So-and-so glorifies the praises of so-and-so," and is its utterer considered an infidel? And what is incumbent upon him if that is the case?

The phrase "yusabbih bihamdih" (glorifies with His praise) is a specific religious term reserved for Allah, meaning to declare Him free from all imperfections while praising Him for all perfections. Scholars have clarified that it is impermissible to attribute glorification (tasbih) to anyone other than Allah the Almighty. It is not correct for anyone else to be glorified in this manner, and this usage is not known among Muslims. Although applying this phrase to anyone other than Allah may not be considered disbelief, it is regarded as verbal shirk (associating partners with Allah through words), which the Shari'ah has forbidden. Therefore, one must be cautious and avoid such expressions, and choose words carefully, acting upon His (Allah's) saying: ﴿AND TELL MY SERVANTS TO SAY THAT WHICH IS BEST﴾.
