Is a traveler obligated to stop to perform the Maghrib prayer on time while on the road, or is it permissible for him to delay it and perform it at home after its time has elapsed?

It is permissible for a traveler to combine Maghrib with Isha, either by advancing or delaying, if the distance allows for the shortening of prayers, even if he knows he will arrive after the time for Maghrib has expired. If he reaches his place of residence and has not yet prayed, he must pray Maghrib first, then Isha in full, unshortened, because his journey has ended.
