Does a daughter forfeit her right to her father's inheritance by saying, "I forgive you, my father," intending thereby not to claim her father's money, but rather her legitimate right from her brothers who deprived her of it?

Equalizing among children in gifts is recommended by the majority of scholars and obligatory according to some, such as the Hanbalis. Even according to the Hanbalis, if the gifting father dies before revoking the unequal gift or before giving to the rest of the children, the gift becomes valid for the donee. Therefore, the daughters are not entitled to demand from their brothers the houses registered in their names if that gift was possessed during the father's lifetime. The matter should be referred to a Sharia court.
