How can one obtain a divorce from the husband and custody of the children, especially with reasons that necessitate it, such as his drug abuse, abandoning prayers and fasting, ill-treatment, and honor accusations, in addition to the lack of a sense of security and stability in the marital life?

Turn to Allah with supplication and humility, be patient, and be diligent in remembering and thanking Allah. Advise your husband with gentleness and kindness, and seek out those whose words influence him. If he reforms, that is good for him and for you. But if he persists in his error, then separation is better. What you have mentioned about his behavior is sufficient for the Shariah judge to rule in your favor, remove the harm from you, and grant you a divorce against his will. As for the custody of the children, he cannot have their custody as long as he is in this state, and you must provide evidence to support your claim, for the burden of proof is on the claimant. Custody is a right for the righteous mother as long as she does not remarry. If she remarries, custody transfers to the one who is more deserving, and the best interest of the child is the overriding factor. The one who has custody does not have the right to prevent the other parent from seeing the child.
