What is the ruling on our saying: "He is of good omen"?

The Arabs used to be optimistic or pessimistic about celestial phenomena, saying: "This is an unlucky star" or "a lucky star." And if it rained, they would say: "We were rained upon by such-and-four an asterism." It is obligatory to thank Allah for His blessings and attribute favor to Him. Therefore, one should not say: "A propitious omen," but rather say: "This is from the grace and bounty of Allah."
