Was there any existence of humans or others on Earth before the descent of Adam, Eve, and Iblis?

The angels' knowledge of human corruption and bloodshed came from what they had witnessed of the jinn's corruption before Adam. This was mentioned by Al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir, who attributed it to Qatadah, Ibn Omar, and Ibn Abbas. However, these narrations from the Companions have not been established with a sound (sahih), good (hasan), or even weak (da'if) chain of transmission. Knowledge of the unseen can only be acquired through divine revelation. Therefore, discussing these matters without revelation is considered conjecture. Hence, Al-Tabari abandoned sayings that were not supported by conclusive evidence. A Muslim should be keen on asking questions that lead to actionable knowledge. There is no benefit in knowing about the existence of inhabitants on Earth before Adam.
