Is it permissible to wear a necklace inscribed with the name of Allah when entering the toilet?

It is disliked to enter facilities with the remembrance of Allah. It has been reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to remove his ring when entering the latrine if it had the name of Allah engraved upon it. Although there is some discussion regarding this hadith, some scholars have authenticated or deemed it to be good. Some scholars are of the opinion that there is no harm in entering with the name of Allah if the ring is placed on the palm of the hand or turned inwards. It is best to keep items bearing the name of Allah away from unclean places, out of reverence for it. As for what is worn around the neck, if it is jewelry, there is no harm in it, provided it is respected. If it is not jewelry, then it is considered an amulet.
