Is it permissible for a woman who has been delegated the right to divorce by her husband to make the divorce conditional, or is making it conditional exclusive to the husband, bearing in mind that there is an opinion stating that an agent or a delegate in matters of 'ismah (bond of marriage) cannot make the divorce conditional?

If the husband delegates the authority of divorce to his wife by saying: "Your affair is in your hand" or "Choose," this is an authorization for her to divorce. The agent does not act except within the permission of the principal. So, if the wife says, "I accept," nothing happens. If he says to her: "Divorce yourself," but she makes her divorce conditional, such as "I am divorced if Zayd arrives," this is not valid, because the authorization was for an immediate divorce, not one contingent on a condition.
