Firstly, it is recommended to name children with good names, such as "Abdullah" and "Abdul Rahman," and names of prophets. Girls should be named after the Prophet's daughters (peace be upon him) and his wives, or other righteous women. It is permissible to use other names as long as the name does not contain a Sharia-prohibited element, such as enslaving a human to other than God, glorifying disbelievers, or promoting corrupt beliefs or blameworthy morals.
