Is it permissible to deposit money for savings in ATM machines belonging to banks, given that there are no interest charges involved and it is my only means of saving?

If the bank adheres to the provisions of Islamic Sharia, then it is permissible to deposit money in it and benefit from its profits. However, if the bank is usurious (Riba-based), it is permissible to deposit money in it out of necessity, and it should be placed in a current account, not a savings account.
