Is it permissible to purchase a commodity in installments from someone who first buys it, then sells it at a higher price after taking possession of it?

If a person purchases an item at your request, and you promised to buy it from him, then he sells it to you in installments after taking possession of it, this is permissible and not usury (riba), because the seller sells the item after possessing and taking hold of it, and not before that.
