Is money earned from working in the sale of goods claimed to be Italian, while they are not, permissible or forbidden?

It is not permissible to lie to customers by deceiving them and telling them that goods are manufactured in a specific country when that is contrary to the truth. This is because it involves prohibited lying and deception. Repentance for this requires returning the price difference to the buyers if possible; otherwise, it should be spent on the general welfare of Muslims. Employers must also be advised to repent. If they do not respond and continue to deceive, the employee must leave the job unless they can continue without engaging in deception. As for the money earned from this mixed work, the amount that absolves one's responsibility must be given away.
