Coffee consumption is a habit and not among the rituals of Islam. Excessive consumption, which is harmful, is prohibited. There are no celebrations for drinking Arabic coffee in Islam, and it is not exclusive to Muslims. Drinking coffee and other beverages has etiquettes in Islamic law, including: drinking with the right hand, saying "Bismillah" (in the name of Allah) before drinking, drinking in three or more sips, praising Allah after finishing, drinking while sitting, the server of the people being the last to drink, starting with the person on the right and then the next on the right, not drinking directly from the mouth of the vessel, and not drinking in gold or silver vessels.
