What is the authenticity of the narration: "Only four possessed the entire earth: two believers and two disbelievers. As for the two believers: Sulaiman bin Dawud and Dhul-Qarnayn. And as for the two disbelievers: Nimrod bin Cush and Nebuchadnezzar"?

Most sources attribute this statement to Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him), as narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah and Al-Tabari. However, scholars have not ruled on the authenticity or weakness of this narration. Al-Hakim mentioned this narration in Al-Mustadrak on the authority of Mu'awiyah, with a slight difference in wording. Ibn Kathir transmitted it in Al-Bidaya wal-Nihaya from Mujahid and Sufyan Al-Thawri, without making any judgment about it. As for Al-Suyuti, he uniquely raised it to the Prophet (peace be upon him), quoting Ibn Al-Jawzi, but it was not found in Ibn Al-Jawzi's history except as a narration from Mujahid. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned Mujahid's narration and did not comment on it. Therefore, it is more likely that the narration is from the words of Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him).
