What is the ruling regarding my prayer if I unintentionally touched my private parts while praying?

If you touch the private parts over clothing (with a barrier), then nothing is incumbent upon you; according to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If one of you puts his hand to his private parts, and there is no covering or barrier between them, then let him perform ablution." However, if you touch it directly, then ablution is invalidated and the prayer becomes void, thus it must be repeated.
