Is there an expiation for a vow? If so, what is its expiation? Thank you very much.
Vows are of seven types: the vow of obstinacy and anger (it takes the ruling of an oath and requires expiation for an oath), the vow of obedience (it must be fulfilled), the ambiguous vow (it requires expiation for an oath), the vow of disobedience (it is not permissible to fulfill it and it requires expiation for an oath), the permissible vow (one is given the choice between fulfilling it or abandoning it with expiation), the vow of an obligation (it is not valid), and the vow of the impossible (it is not valid and does not necessitate anything). The expiation for a vow is the expiation for an oath: freeing a slave, or feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or fasting for three days for those who cannot find anything.
