Is the prayer of a fasting person, which is answered, at any time of the day, or while fasting, or only at the time of breaking the fast?

The prayer of the fasting person is answered in two situations: absolutely during the fast, and restricted to the time of breaking the fast.

First: Absolute Acceptance: - An authentic Hadith (definition): "Three prayers are not rejected: the prayer of a parent, the prayer of a fasting person, and the prayer of a traveler." (Al-Albani graded it good (Hasan (definition))). - A weak Hadith: "Three whose supplications are not rejected: a just leader, a fasting person until he breaks his fast, and the supplication of the oppressed." (Al-Albani graded it weak (Da'if)).

Second: Acceptance at the Time of Breaking the Fast: - A weak Hadith: "Indeed, for the fasting person at the time of breaking his fast, there is a supplication that is not rejected." (Al-Albani graded it weak (Da'if)). - A weak Hadith: "For the fasting person at the time of his breaking the fast, there is an answered supplication." (Al-Albani graded it weak (Da'if)). - A Mawkuf narration (good chain of transmission) from Ibn 'Umar: "It used to be said: For every Muslim fasting person, there is an answered supplication at the time of breaking his fast." Many scholars have agreed upon the desirability of supplicating at the time of breaking the fast, acting upon these Ahadith, even though some of them are weak, the Mawkuf (وقف) narration strengthens the Marfu' (مرفوع) narration.
