Is it forbidden to travel to a Muslim country to learn Arabic and the Quran without the mother's consent?

The questioner is advised to stay with his mother in the land of disbelief for several reasons:

Firstly: Obedience to the mother is obligatory, and seeking her permission to travel for the pursuit of knowledge is essential.

Secondly: Knowledge can be acquired in his country through available means, and the pursuit of obligatory knowledge (such as the fundamentals of Tawhid and prayer) does not necessitate travel if it is available locally.

Thirdly: His staying with his mother provides her with care and attention, and the lands of disbelief are not safe for one's religion and self.

It has been narrated in the biographies of some scholars that they abandoned journeys in pursuit of knowledge out of filial piety towards their parents. Allah compensates whoever leaves something for His sake with something better. Therefore, it is advised to be patient and learn in his current location until he is able to satisfy his mother or take her with him.
