Is saying "this is my face if I don't do such and such" considered swearing by other than Allah?

The servant's saying, "By my face, I shall do such-and-such," or "This is my face, if I do not do such-and-such," falls under the ruling of an oath and is impermissible, because swearing by other than Allah is not allowed. Whatever entails the meaning of an oath has its ruling, as in the Almighty's saying: (O Prophet, why do you prohibit what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Allah has already ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths) [At-Tahrim/1-2]. Ibn Uthaymeen said that emphasizing something with divorce is not appropriate because it is similar to an oath. Al-Fawzan was asked about saying, "By my face, you shall do such-and-such," and he replied, "This is impermissible; because it resembles an oath, it is therefore not allowed." The least of what can be said about this speech is that it falls under ambiguities and doubts, and it is legislated to abandon it.
