Is it Islamically permissible for a husband to write one of his two homes in the name of his first wife and the other in the name of his second wife?

It is permissible for a husband to gift an entire house to one of his wives, and he is not required to be equitable in this matter. This is a point of contention among jurists. For the gift to be valid, the husband must vacate the houses of his belongings and leave them for his wives. As for writing the two houses in their names so that they may take possession of them after his death, this is a bequest to an heir, which is not enforceable without the consent of the heirs. If the two houses are not possessed and seized before the husband's death, the gift becomes void.
