It is Sunnah to urinate while sitting, and permissible to do so while standing if one is certain that no impurity will splash onto one's clothes or body. If urine splashes onto clothes, the impure spot must be washed with water. However, if there is doubt about whether it splashed, washing is not obligatory, because the default is that the garment is pure. Doubt does not necessitate anything, and one must turn away from obsessive thoughts (waswasah).
